Twig & Call: Beautiful Objects for the Modern Age

Aviva Bauman of Twig Works jewelry and photographer Chelsea Call are teaming up for a two-woman show and pop-up shop at the Art.i.factory, just in time for the holidays. The opening reception coincides with the 17th Annual Baca Street Arts Tour, Dec.1, 2, and 3. • Opening reception: Friday, Dec. 1, 5 - 9 p.m. • Saturday, Dec. 2, tour hours: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Art.i.fact is open until 6 p.m. • Sunday, Dec. 3: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. • Twig & Call runs through Jan. 27 Twig Works jewelry can be seen dangling from some of Santa Fe's trendiest ears. Aviva creates her pieces from recycled wood, and they are not only stylish, but they are incredibly light. Each pair is one-of-a-kind. Aviva says her goal is to create jewelry that “recalls its wearer back to the dirt, even while appreciating Euclidean urban environments; [creating] jewelry that restores the feeling of being playful and rooted.” Chelsea is a photographer, art maker, yoga teacher, and outdoorswoman. Her images reflect her fascination with the relationship of human perception through the camera lens. Chelsea is currently pursuing a graduate degree in art therapy, which will complement her degree in photo image making from Colorado State University. This year’s Baca Street Art Tour features more than 20 artists as well as farolitos, glass blowing workshops, and holiday shopping. It’s the perfect weekend to find something special for the special people in your life!
