2nd Annual Sock Drive is Underway!

Our Second Annual Sock Drive to benefit homeless families in Santa Fe is fully underway! Bring in new or gently worn (and clean!) wool socks now through the end of January, and we'll give you 10% off a nonsale item. We're collecting socks for Casa Familia Urgent Transition Center, St. Elizabeth Shelter’s House for Families and Women. Last year, we collected more than 1,200 pairs of socks. This year, the goal is 2,000! Please help us spread the word and encourage friends and family members to join the effort. Children's socks are especially needed. On Saturday, Jan. 14, we'll host a representative from Casa Familia so you can learn more about their programs. The Center is northern New Mexico’s only full-time shelter for families and single women. Families often arrive at the shelter with little more than the clothes on their backs. While they have a safe, warm place to sleep at night at the shelter, their days are often spent traveling to social service agencies, job interviews, and libraries and other community centers. They either walk and/or take buses, so warm socks make an enormous difference. Casa Familia regularly receives donations of clothing (including those from Art.i.fact), but good socks are in short supply. Be a sweetie and help us Rock the Sock!
